I am an NYC based photographer specializing in boudoir, queer weddings, and intimate portraiture. I have a particular love of bodies and intimacy in my personal creative work, and sharing the honest truth about people, their bodies, and their inner lives is my number one goal as a photographer. I strive to highlight the complexity and vulnerability of humanity in all of my subject matter. I have always loved the small, radiant details of human beings, and so my goal as a photographer is always to capture what is unique and compelling about each new person I meet, and to let their particular kind of beauty do all the work in our shoot.
The firsthand experience of embodiment is particularly fascinating to me, and I aim to use my camera as a means of capturing and reflecting my subjects’ own experiences of their bodies and their relationships with their bodies. I very much view photography as a therapeutic medium, and so my aim as a photographer is to provide for my clients and subjects a space for exploration, reflection, and healing.
The best way to capture what is special about someone in a photo is to actually learn what is special about them in person, so I want to connect with each client and get to know their experiences in the world and what they hope to capture in our photos. Our shoot will feel like two new (or old) friends getting to know each other -- one of them will just have a camera in their hand!
